Each of us may at one time have a strong desire and conviction to change the world. Whether during our childhood, adolescence, adulthood, even after we enter the age of twilight.
Mahatma Gandhi's name does not require a long introduction. Everyone knows about the man who led the people of India to independence from British rule in 1947. So let's move on to some important message from Mahatma Gandhi.
1. Change Yourself
You change yourself it will change your world. If you change the way you think then you will change the way you feel and what action you will take. And the world around you will change. Not just because you are now viewing your environment through new mind and emotional lenses, but also because your inner changes can allow you to change your actions on the path you do not want-or when it will get stuck in your old mindset
2. All are in your control
What you feel and how you react to something is always up to you. There may be a "normal" attitude or a common way to react to different things. But that's mostly just a clone. You can choose your own thoughts, reactions and emotions for almost any problem. You do not need to panic, by overreacting and even reacting in a negative way. Although it may not be every time or directly. Sometimes the reaction suddenly arises spontaneously. Or habits or old ways of thinking that suddenly appear
3. Forgive adn Let go
You realize that forgiving and releasing the past will set you free and provide great service to those around you. And spending your time with only negative memories will not help you to learn your lessons from the experience. It will only cause you to suffer more and even restrain yourself to take action now.
If you do not forgive then you let the past and others control how you feel. By forgiving you escape from the shackles. And then you can focus entirely on the next plan.
4. Without action you will not go anywhere
Without taking action is very small that can be done. However, taking action can be hard and difficult. You may be more likely to speak, as Gandhi says. Or read and study endlessly. And feel like you've moved forward. But you get little or no practical results in real life
So, to really get where you want to go and to truly understand yourself and your world, you need to practice. Most books can bring you to knowledge. You must take action and translate that knowledge into results and understanding
5. Everyone is human
When you start making myths from people - even though they may have produced incredible work - you take the risk to be disconnected from them. You can begin to feel like you can never achieve the same things they have done because they see so very different. So it's important to remember that everyone is just a human no matter who they are.

6. Never Give Up
Keep clinging. In time the resistance around you will fade and turn. And the resistance within you and the tendencies of self-sabotage that want to block you and keep you from the previous habit will become weaker. Find out what you really want to do. Then you will find the inner motivation to keep going.
One of the reasons Gandhi was so successful with his nonviolent methods was that he and his followers were so persistent. They do not give up
Success or victory rarely comes as quickly as you want. I think one of the reasons that people do not get what they want is just because they give up too quickly.
7. Look goodness in others
There are many good things in everyone. And things may not be so good. But you can choose what you focus on. And if you want improvement, focusing on what's good on others is a useful option. It also makes life easier for you as well for your world and your relationship becomes more fun and positive.
And when you see goodness in others it becomes easier to motivate oneself to serve them. By giving service to others, by giving them value, you not only make their lives better. Over time you tend to get what you give. And the people you help may feel more inclined to help others. And so you, together, make positive changes spirally upward which then grows and becomes strong. By strengthening your social skills, you can become a more influential person and make a stronger upward spiral path.
